Well Water Testing Program and Private Well Owner Outreach - Know Your H20
The Know Your H20 program has been providing private well owner education, well water testing, and well water / drinking water testing programs, since about 1989. The initial outreach was through the Environmental Quality Center at Wilkes University and the water-research.net portal and then in about 2011 we started to develop the Know Your H20 Drinking Water Portal. The program was stared by Mr. Brian Oram at the request of Dr. Brian Redmond and the initial program outreach was limited to Pennsylvania, but after the launching of the online portal we were providing outreach to private well owners, private water systems, and individuals throughout the USA and even in Western and Eastern Europe and Asia. In fact, our biggest audience was outside of Pennsylvania.
Currently, the portal assists approximately 10,000 to 50,000 users daily to obtain information related to drinking water quality, water testing, environmental education, and environmental topics. For private well owners, the critical portions of our website are as follows:
- Private Water Systems and Private Well Water Testing Programs
- Community Pages and Outreach on Septic Systems and Groundwater
- Water Testing Services - Informational Water Testing
- Our Educational Booklet on Drinking Water
- Hardcopy Booklet
- Free pdf copy of our booklet (Professionals and Private Water Well Owners)
- Contaminant Information
- Drinking Water Treatment Systems / Solutions
- Our Blog Articles
The website supported through the combination of the efforts of Mr. Brian Oram, affiliate programs, and other advertising programs. In addition, the program helps to support the efforts of a 501c3 known as the Keystone Clean Water Team.
"Keystone Clean Water Team
The Keystone Clean Water Team is a Pennsylvania-based non-profit 501C3 organization whose mission is to educate private well owners about the basics on wells, water, septic systems, and other environmental issues. One of their goals is to prevent illnesses that can be acquired from having a private, unregulated water system and to "Get The Waters Tested".
